[ A little surprising to receive a text from Kunimi out of nowhere... But since he is one of the few people Tobio truly knows around here, he doesn't want to waste the chance to reconnect. ]
[Does Kunimi have any idea what he's aiming for here? Not at all. Part of him thinks he's being a petty jerk and it's time to allow the possibility that he and Kageyama could get along now; the rest of him wants to keep nursing enough grudge for both himself and Kindaichi because it's fun and satisfying, at least when it doesn't start to hurt.
Mostly he's just lonely. While he's found one person he considers a new friend, Gansey's got tons of friends he knew before the resort that keep him occupied a lot of the time. Kunimi's so crap at connecting with new people that, against all odds, Kageyama might actually be his best chance at another positive bond.
... but it's gonna take alcohol to get them past the "glaring sourly at each other and taking everything personally" stage.]
Hey. C'mon in. [That's all the greeting Kageyama gets when he arrives. Kunimi's suite has a separate seating area away from where he sleeps, which makes spending time there with company a bit more comfortable - on the table, Kageyama will find a bottle of sweet plum wine and two glasses as well as some bite-sized sweets the resort added to his room service order without being asked.]
[ telling someone not to get lost doesn’t really help them... not get lost, but at least tobio manages to find kunimi’s room without much difficulty. a resort staff member was kind enough to point out the direction to him so he gets there only a few minutes after kunimi’s last message.
as he enters kunimi’s suite, tobio looks around, respectfully taking in the ambience of the place before his gaze settles back on the other boy. the atmosphere is a bit awkward but that doesn’t really affect tobio as much as it should... it’s the sort of effect he tends to give off to most people anyway. but the history he and kunimi have doesn’t really help in making it any better. ]
Nice room. It’s big.
[ compared to tobio’s anyway. his room resembles much of his own from back home. small, simple, with minimal things lying around, like a pair of dumbbells and a volleyball... and volleyball magazines stacked neatly in a corner.
crossing the room, tobio then takes a seat by the table. he looks over at the bottle of wine, inspecting it closely. ]
Is this sweet?
[ he also glances at the cute and colorful sweets laid out on the table for them but refrains from making any comments. maybe kunimi is just really into sweets these days. ]
[Kunimi closes the door and shuffles deeper into the room behind Kageyama, a wave of strangeness washing over him as he watches Kageyama explore his suite. When's the last time he willingly chose to share space with Kageyama, anyway? They'd stopped being on decent terms by their last year of junior high, so probably not since he was 13 years old. This place is apparently entire universes and timelines away from then but it still feels strange to have Kageyama in the room where he sleeps and often hides away to avoid the rest of the resort.
He's been in an odd headspace since arriving. Maybe that makes all this less surprising.]
Yeah... I dunno how they handed out rooms but I hit the jackpot, huh. [Despite his usual lazy tone making him sound less than thrilled, Kunimi actually does like his suite a lot. He drops onto the loveseat, then cracks the wine open and pours a healthy dollop into each glass.] Heh, it's more like juice than wine. I'm not into the strong stuff.
[With his own glass in one hand, he stretches out with his back against one arm of the loveseat and his feet on the other, facing Kageyama.]

[A propos of nothing. Without any more conversation than that first unpleasant one they had when Kageyama arrived.
Kunimi's not offering explanations, but he is checking in.]
